Congratulations to Ana Cristina Tovar Fernández, alumna of the Law Undergraduate Program at ITAM, for her recent appointment as private secretary for the Secretary of Foreign Affairs (SRE). This achievement reflects her solid professional trajectory and commitment to public service. 

Ana Cristina Tovar has extensive experience in legal an immigration issues. Previously, she performed as General Director of Migrant Protection and Liaison of the National Migration Institute, as well as Advisor of the UN’s Permanent Mission in Mexico. 

Also, she is a graduate of Yale University, where she got her master’s degree in Law. 

We wish her the best of success in this new appointment, trusting she will continue to contribute her knowledge and experience in the strengthening of Mexico’s foreign policy.
