Montserrat Ramiro, alumna of the Economics Undergraduate Program at ITAM, has been appointed as member of Alpek’s Board of Directors.
Montserrat Ramiro has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics by Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and a Master’s degree in Economics by the University College London, where she also specialized her studies in Environmental Economics and Natural Resources. Montserrat Ramiro is an expert in the field of energy and renewable sources and was the Commissioner of the Energy Regulatory Commission, from 2014 to 2019; as well as Director of Energy at the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness, from 2013 to 2014.
The chemical producing, multinational Mexican company Alpek celebrated their annual General Ordinary Stockholders' Meeting this tuesday, where the appointment was approved. The proposed appointment for the members of the Board of Directors included the addition of 3 new directors: Montserrat Ramiro, José Valdez y Alejandro Werner, as well as the ratification of current members.
