Congratulations to Dr. Sylvia Meljem Enriquez de Rivera, Head of the Academic Department of Accounting at ITAM for being elected as "Distinguished Professor" by the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants.

The "Distinguished Professor" Award is a recognition that the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants grants to the Certified Public Accountant who has excelled for his or her vocation of service, responsibility, professional capacity and ethics, in the training of Public Accounting professionals, as well as in the professional practice of Public Accounting (IMCP).

The award was presented to Dr. Sylvia Meljem during the 99th National Assembly Convention of the IMCP held on October 21, 2022.

Dr. Meljem is an alumna of ITAM's Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and has received a large number of awards, including the "Professional Merit Award" from ITAM, the "Rafael Mancera Ortiz Award," from the College of Public Accountants of Mexico, recognition as "Professor Emeritus" by the National Association of Schools and Colleges of Accounting and Administration (ANFECA), the "Distinguished Professor Award," from the College of Public Accountants of Mexico, the "C. P. Refugio Román Almonte," awarded by the College of Public Accountants of Mexico, among other important awards.
