Dr. Miguel Messmacher Linartas will assume the position of General Director of the Academic Division of Economics, Law and Social Sciences on November 1, 2021.
Dr. Messmacher is an alumnus of ITAM's undergraduate degree in Economics and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University. Likewise, he has had a long career in the public sector as Undersecretary of Finance and Undersecretary of Revenue. Also, Miguel Messmacher has an academic and professional emphasis on public finance related to economic growth, financial crises, and monetary and fiscal policy.
