Luis Rosendo Gutiérrez, alumnus of the Political Science and Economics Undergraduate Programs at ITAM, has been appointed as undersecretary of International Commerce, a position in which he will assume the responsibility of supervising and coordinate the fulfillment of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) under the new administration.
Before this appointment, Gutiérrez served at the then Secretary of Commerce, now the Secretary of Economy, and also was the Treasurer of the Federal District Government during the Marcelo Ebrard administration (2006-2012). His experience in the public and economic sectors was fundamental to lead the commercial strategy between Mexico and the United States, its main trading partner.
We wish him success in this new role.
