Congratulations to Diego Arturo Velazquez Trejo, student of the Mathematics Undergraduate Program at ITAM, for getting first place in the 9th student summit “From the double helix to the genomic horizon: 70 years of medical advances”, organized by the National Institute of Genomic Medicine. 

His research paper titled: “A new methodological approach for longitudinal studies with missing data: an application in a clinical setting for the characterization of "chronic" control groups of HIV patients”. It stood out in between the several others that were presented that day and will benefit hundreds of patients that suffer from this disease.
