According to the 2024 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Ranking. ITAM climbed 100 positions among the best universities in the world, in comparison to the previous year, placing the Institute as the third best university in Mexico.

The ranking assessed 2,963 universities globally, placing ITAM among the top 44% of the best universities in the world. Furthermore, among the almost three thousand universities evaluated, ITAM got the 88th position in employment outcomes, with a 97% employability rate, which indicates the success of our graduates in the labor market.

How does the QS World University Ranking evaluate universities?

QS World University Ranking, on its 20th edition, reported the use of an innovative methodology with nine main metrics: academic reputation; citations per faculty; employer reputation, which measures the reputation of the Institute among the main companies of the world; employment outcomes, which quantifies the level of employability and the success of graduates in the labor market; the faculty student ratio, which analyzes the amount of students per teacher; the presence of international faculty; the international research network; international students; and finally, the level of sustainability. Additionally, the methodology remains up to date, giving more weight to some metrics depending on the current needs of the market.
