Congratulations to Alfredo Garbuno Iñigo, alumnus of the Actuarial Science and Applied Mathematics Undergraduate Programs and the Master's in Data Science at ITAM, for his appointment as member of the Board of Directors at The Latin American Regional Section of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC-LARS).

The IASC-LARS promotes the progress of the theory, methods and practice of statistical computing and encourages the interest and knowledge in effective and efficient statistical computing through international relationships between statisticians, computer scientists, organizations, institutes and governments, in Latin America’s context.

Alfredo Garbuno is a professor at the Department of Statistics in ITAM and serves as the Director of the Master's Program in Data Science at ITAM. Furthermore, he has a doctorate by the University of Liverpool, in the United Kingdom.
