Congratulations to Alfonso L. Corcuera Wenzel, alumnus of our undergraduate program in economics, for being awarded Mention of Honor in the thesis category in the Financial Markets Contest of 2016. 

The title of his winning thesis is “Abnormal Returns in Fusions and Acquisitions in Latin America”.

The Financial Markets award is bestowed by the BMV Group.  The aim of this award is to offer youth, professionals, and researchers the opportunity to develop ideas fostering research, knowledge, and creativity. It also seeks to promote the inclusion of more people in the current financial and economic context to meet the need for the development of innovative, practical, and applicable ideas for the stock exchanges effectively improving the selection of products and intermediary services in Mexico.
