Virgilio Andrade appointed as CEO of Bansefi

Congratulations to Virgilio Andrade Martínez, alumnus of our undergraduate program in law, for his appointment as CEO of the National Savings and Financial Services Bank (Bansefi).

Andrade has distinguished himself in various positions namely, Secretary of Public Services, Electoral Advisor of the IFE, Technical Secretary and Assistant Director of Promotion of the National Rural Credit and Rural Financing Bank, and General Director of the Financial Legislation Division of the Ministry of the Treasury and Public Credit. Furthermore, he has served as an advisor to different governmental offices namely, Pemex, the Ministry of the Interior, the Puebla state government, and the Presidency of the Republic. 

He was recognized for his work with the “Professional Merit” award in the social sector category given by ITAM in 2009.  He also earned a diploma in Contemporary Thought from ITAM and a Master’s degree in Administration and Public Policy from Columbia University.
