José Pliego San Martín, ITAM alumnus, won first place of the 2023 FAO award

José Pliego San Martín, alumnus of the Mathematics undergraduate program at ITAM, was awarded with the first place in the bachelor degree thesis contest in statistics and related fields "Francisco Aranda Ordaz 2023" given by the Mexican Statistics Association, for his degree thesis titled "Bivariate Copula-Based Survival Model".
Jose is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in the Department of Statistical Science in Duke University in the USA.
