ITAM students won prize in the 9th COPRED Thesis Contest

Andrea Aranzazú Sedeño Toxtle, recently graduated from Law Degree and Emilio Saráchaga Mora, recently graduated from Economics Degree, received an award for their thesis work in the ninth edition of the Thesis Contest on Discrimination in Mexico City, organized by the Council to Prevent and Eliminate Discrimination of Mexico City (COPRED). COPRED recognizes all the people who are developing projects related to the discriminatory phenomenon and human rights.

Andrea's work "Discriminación étnico-racial en el ámbito laboral: análisis de las dinámicas discriminatorias en los procesos de acceso y promoción del campo jurídico" seeks to analyze the dynamics through which ethnic-racial discrimination is reproduced in the processes of access and promotion of the labor market, especially in the legal field.

Emilio's project "El impacto del autorreconocimiento como población LGBT+ sobre el bienestar y florecimiento personal y social" seeks to measure the subjective well-being of the LGBT+ community.

Both theses were chosen within the 20 best of all those registered.The winners of the award will receive financial support for five months, in which they will develop their work to achieve significant progress.
