Congratulations to Dr. Carlos González Hernández, winner of the awards for Best Paper and Best Reviewer on the 2023 edition of the AIB US West conference.

Dr. Carlos González Hernández, alumnus of the Business Administration Undergraduate Program at ITAM, Doctor in Strategy and Management by the University of St. Gallen and current professor of the Department of Business Administration, presented, in collaboration with Madeleine Bausch from the University of Chile, in the Academy of International Business 2023 West Chapter Conference the essay titled “Lost in Translation, Found in Meaning: The Transfer of Family Firm Practices Across Borders as a Carrier of Socioemotional Wealth”. The essay was recognized as Best Paper in the conference. For the paper, Dr. González Hernández researched the business practice transfer between family-owned companies in Germany and their subsidiaries in Brazil, searching for evidence that said transfer is consistent with social and emotional objectives of the founding family. 

Additionally, Dr. Gonzalez Hernandez was recognized as Best Reviewer during the same conference.
