The Alberto Baillères Foundation and the companies part of Grupo BAL (Peñoles, Fresnillo plc, GNP Seguros, Profuturo, Valmex, and Palacio de Hierro) announced on November 9^th, 2017 their donation of 120 million pesos to the reconstruction of public schools in various states in Mexico affected by the September 7^th and 19^th earthquakes. The funds will be administrated by the Alberto Baillères Foundation.

The schools will be selected together with the federal and state authorities, considering the census information and the authorities’ priorities in order to benefit the student population affected.

Furthermore, EY will serve as an external auditor to the use of the funds.

• The donation will consist of contributions from the Alberto Baillères Foundation and the following companies: Peñoles, Fresnillo plc, GNP Seguros, Profuturo, Valmex, and Palacio de Hierro.
• The funds will be administrated by the Alberto Baillères Foundation and they will be managed by EY.
• Educational authorities will collaborate to choose the schools which will be rebuilt.
